How do you line the top eye liquid or pencil ?

First of all, pick a quality liner. Mac makes amazing ones..but a bit more money. Loreal makes a just as good liquid liner that is easy to put on, shouldn't cost more than 5 dollars %26amp; works just as well as mac. start on the outside corner %26amp; do it in one clean line. The faster you go, the straighter it will be. Over time you'll get better, at first it will look bad. Q tips are a must for when your first starting to use liquid eye liner.. barely moisten it %26amp; fix your mess ups right away, as soon as you make one, while it's still wet %26amp; easy to fix. If it's immediate then you don't even have to wet it the first time you get the mess up off, you'll need to use two q tips to fix a mess up tho realistically. Pencil should only be used barely on the bottom lashes, either the area practically inside your eye(above the bottom eye lashes) with a good liner %26amp; then smudge it with a q tip. You shouldn't use the pencil above the eye, tons of ppl do but personally it doesn't look as good as liquid. NEVER use liquid on the bottom lashes. Hope that helped. Also, go to a makeup counter %26amp; tell them you want to buy a liquid liner but want some tips on the best way to put it on, it'll cost you twenty but it's way more helpful in person. Or have a friend who is good with make up help you.How do you line the top eye liquid or pencil ?
Liquid Eyeliner:

Liquid eyeliner should only be used above the top lashes (unless you are going for a very harsh, dramatic look). Also, it is difficult not to get it in your eye. It is best to use a pencil or eyeshadow under the lower lashes. If you do choose to apply liquid liner below the eyes, remember to use a light touch as harsh lines are unflattering and make you look tired, and the skin below your eyes is very delicate, besides.

You do not need to try and paint a continuous line with liquid eyeliner. It is easier to paint small dashes along the lash line, gently adding a stroke every 3-4 millimetres, and then connect them after ward.

If you want a thicker line than this initial thin one, build it up gradually. Start at the middle of the lash line and draw towards the outer corner. You can extend the line slightly past the outer corner of your eyelid if you wish.

To make your eyes look even better, start thin and then get thick; this gives the look of bigger eyes. For cats eyes, flick the brush at the end of the stroke. How do you line the top eye liquid or pencil ?
For pencil: Close the eye you wish to line with eye-liner, use a finger (from the opposite hand that you will hold the eye-liner with) to pull the eyelid slightly so as to stretch it out and run the eye-liner gently along the lash-line.

For liquid eye-liner: Pretty much the same, but you won't need to stretch out your eyelid.
It depends on what you want. For that nice smooth look I'd say liquid. For that simple natural look I'd say pencil. Make sure to use a good base ( example : MAC painterly paint pot ) so the eyeliner can stick to it and last long or you can use other bases like MAC shadestick or urban decay primer..etc or just something sticky that it can stick to so apply that before then line your lids.

Also cream eyeliner from HIP is good too. It comes with an eyeliner brush.

i only use pencil so,

what you do is you wanna start in the center of your eye and slowly go out towards the outer part of your eye. DO NOT do it in one swift movement you might mess up. do short quick lines and just connect them.

most people like to put the line like right about their eyelashes. but i personally like to put it IN my eyelashes so it doesn't look like i'm wearing eyeliner

but it stillg ives me that full look

ya know?
liquid is a cleaner looks but only when you are trying to stay really close to the lash line. a thicker line should always be done in pencil.Pencils look more natural and make your lashes look fuller.I personally like to use the liquid first against the lashes then blend a thicker line with pencil.
Well, Liquid eyeliner I THINK is better to use on top of eye-lid, and then pencil on the bottom, but it depends what affect you are intending to acheive, if you are wanting it bright and bold, i'd suggest you use liquid on top of eye - liner !

Hope this helps ! :)
depends on the effect you are after... pencil smudges so it is good for a smoky eye, liquid will give you a sharper defined line

liquid is harder to control, but pencil can be a bit sharp 4 a sensitive upper eye lid
its all in the wrist movement make sure Your hand stays very sill and press down fairly hard; and then just line the top on the lashes in ONE stroke. And make sure your eye isn't twitching while its closed cause that ll mess it up.
There isn't a specific one you are supposed to use! It is all up to you. I don't use liquid liner at all, only pencil. But some people use only liquid and some use both.
I use liquid cos i find it easier to use. It give a sharper line than a pencil, it glides on evenly in one go, and you don't have to keep on sharpening it!!! =) x
I get a brush wet and dip it into a mineral make up. More colors that way. I have also in a pinch used a brush and used mascara.
Try Gel/Cream liner. Its the only thing thats worked for me.

Liquid liner is messy and annoying. Pencil smudges so bad.

Ceam is perfect. Try something like MAC's fluidline. Its amazing
it depends on what effect im trying to make :)

if i'm going out casually usually pencil the liquid comes out at the weekend

x
I use liquid for the top, Avon's is really good as it stays put for ages, and I use their glimmersticks for the lower.
Depends on what you want. Liquid for a more classy elegant look or pencil for a edgy or casual look.
Hi!

I'm from Germany and I always used a pencil. But last week I buyed a liquid. I hate it! :D

A pencil is better which you can take out ;)
liquid, to make a cool, black eye lash effect :)

liquid eye liner is the best for top eye lid.

pencil for bottom eye lid i think x
it depends on how much time i have... if i have a lot of time liquid if not run over the lid with a pencil.
Liquid on top pencil otherwise :)

i smudge it if i dont do it properly and its soooo annoyingg :@ Lol
I use soft, self-sharpening pencil. Better to smear.

Best brand is beleive it or not....Avon. Cheap and it stays on.
Liquid :)
well liquid smears a lot so do the to pencil unless u want a really large line on top
i do different ones on different days (:

i dnt just stick to one

x
I've used permanent marker %26amp; now i never have to do mine again!!
pencil during day, liquid at night :]
liquid is easier but pencil works too
liquid- top (so it doesnt get in your eyes.
I'd go with liquid
