Rheum is the medical term for the natural watery mucus discharge from the eyes, commonly known as sleepy dust, sleep, lega帽as, eye boogers, or some derivative thereof. The discharge forms a crust on the eyelids, or gathers in the corner of the eye during sleep (contrast to mucopurulent discharge). It is formed by a combination of mucus (consisting of mucin discharged from the cornea or conjunctiva), tears, leaked blood cells, dead skin cells from the eyelids, and dust. What is it called ';the yellowish semi-liquid substance that accumulates eye corners when we get up?'; ?
